The new Caller-ID changer allows you to set the number that will appear on the Caller-ID of the party you call. Change the caller id to your home number and call in sick for work, from the golf course! DO I NEED SPECIAL EQUIPMENT?
You Can change the caller id just using the phone, No computer or any special equipment is required. It's designed to work just like a prepaid calling card. You just call the toll-free access number from any phone. You'll be prompted to enter your PIN number, the number you want to be displayed on their Caller-ID, (the number you are changing your caller id to) and the number to be called.


THERE ARE SOME NUMBERS IT WON'T WORK ON
It is designed to not work on calls to 911 and toll-free numbers. Also it will not work on international calls.

WILL THE NAME ALSO SHOW ON THEIR CALLER-ID, OR JUST THE NUMBER?
In some cases, both. Even though you specify only the number, it will automatically check the phone book listings, and if it can match the number you instructed it to display with a listed number, then it will often also display the name associated with that number. Cell phone Caller-IDs typically only accept numbers and no names, but then they match that number against the cell phone's own internal phone directory, and display the name that the user programmed for that number (for example "Mom" will show along with the number on their Caller-ID).
