Bug Detector - Wireless Bug and Camera Detector Micro Bug Detector

This micro bug detector is made for general use. There is no need for specialized training or knowledge. Bug detectors, also called RF (radio frequency) signal detectors, will begin reacting as soon as a wireless field is detected. Many items produce a wireless signal including cell phones, cordless phones,  internet routers and baby monitors. Before beginning any search for a wireless device you should disable any known wireless devices.

Note: cell phones must be active in order to be detected IE turned on during a call. So if you would like to know if a cell phone is being used to make a call the detector will find the signal. If you want to locate a cell phone in an area or on a person the detector Will Not locate any cell phone that is not on and making a call.

This bug detector  has 3 LEDs.  When it discovers an active cellular phone, wireless camera or wireless microphone, the LEDs will light from Level 1 to Level 2 to Level 3, progressively and the beeping sound will change from Slow to Rapid indicating the strength of detected wireless signal. So as you begin to move around the area you need to sweep, the signal the detector will let you know if you are getting closer or farther away from the signal. You may get false / positive signals as well IE if you live in an apartment you may pick up the neighbors wireless router it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between a hidden wireless device and external sources. The detectors antenna can be lowered to decrease the sensitivity in this case. You may also get ambient interference from items like TVs and Computer monitors and high power sources. each one of these may need to be checked before continuing on.

Our RF detector also has a Vibration warning mode, just set the switch to Silent. You will be able to narrow down the location of a device using the vibration rate of the device. You can use the included earphone to monitor the device so that no one else will be aware of you sweeping the room. This is helpful with wireless bugs as the listener may just deactivate the device while you are scanning the area and then reactivate the bugging device when you have finished your sweep.
