Both the camera and monitor recorder are powered by included AC adapter power supplies. The camera has 24 IR LEDS that will provide approx. 50 feet of night vision in total darkness. This is a great monitoring system to keep an eye on front door or gate while you are working. Use it to keep an eye on the kids while you stay inside. Since the included 7 inch monitor will not only let you view the video the built in dvr will record the video.
